On the 6th and 7th took place an onlince conference with more than 90 participants in order to discuss the latest research results on “Decent Care Work” especially in Europe. In many aspects, the situation of migrant care workers is similar all over Europe and fits to the observations of the MTC-project team. But it is worth to point out, that in several countries the sending agencies start to play a (political) role by defining quality standards and framewokrs for the migrant care workers in the destination countries. It is also worth mentioning that migrant wo(men) themselves are organizing support networks that have certain influence in enhancing the working conditions.
Participants presented the results of a study on transnational care work arrangements in Switzerland, Austria and Germany. The study is published in the book “Gute Sorge ohne gute Arbeit?”
